President's Club Trip to PlayaCar

The top salesmen at Brian's company earned an all expense paid trip to Playa Car this December. I am so thankful to have a husband that works hard and earned this trip for us! We had an amazing time relaxing and enjoyed every second of the trip!

Toasting at dinner right after we got to the resort

The resort was beautiful! It was even more amazing being in Mexico because we had just been stuck inside the week before because of a crazy ice storm in Dallas. The 80 degree weather was PERFECT!!!

We spent one day on a catamaran/snorkeling trip. It was amazing!

Lots of reading and relaxing. Check out the lady in the background…haha!

We were walking on the beach one night and saw a meteor shower. It was so cool!

He is a pretty amazing husband and father. I am blessed!
Looking forward to next years trip :).

Thanksgiving 2013

We spent Thanksgiving in Temple this year and had a great time hanging out with family! Grant's fiancé (Mallory) and her parents joined us and it was fun getting to know them. My parents also hosted the first annual D'Antonie's Crossing (name of their subdivision) Turkey Trot and we had around 60 people show up. It was so fun! Here are pictures from our trip.

Neighborhood bonfire!

Tyler loved Tanner's sleeping spot (in my parents closet). He would disappear for a second and you would find him just like this. Tanner and Tyler loved jumping and wrestling on the bed.

We came back from Temple and did a "mini" Thanksgiving with Brian's family. Here is our "kid" picture from that.

New York City Girls Trip

When my sister in law, Adrian, asked if I would be interested in a girls trip to NYC I immediately said "YES!". I am so glad I did because we had a great weekend braving the super cold weather. We flew out early Saturday morning and after quickly checking into our hotel we left to explore. Saturday was filled with lots of fun things like lunch in Times Square,   quick trip to Central Park, Tiffany's, FAO Shwarz, Apple store, and to top the day off, it snowed (for about 5 minutes but it still counts).
Not quite the "view of Times Square" we had hoped for :).

Shelby (Adrian's sister in law), Adrian (my sister in law), and Me! Basically it was a "sister in law" girls trip!

Central Park

Having fun in FAO Schwarz!

SNOW!!!

If you know me you know I am a lover of the list. Each night we would look at all the things we wanted to do while we were in NYC and I would keep up with them and cross off things we had done. Let's just say we were very productive with our time! Adrian and I had both been to NYC many times before but it was Shelby first trip so we had fun showing her all the "touristy" sights. Sunday was filled with many more fun things! Probably my favorite day of the trip.

Grand Central Station

We decided to take the subway down to Ground Zero, Battery Park, and the Statue of Liberty because it was all of 9 degrees that day. It was bitter cold and super windy so we didn't stay too long.

Lion King on Broadway was absolutely AMAZING!

Yes we did! I do not know how he stands out there in just his underwear.

Yummy lunch/dinner and Adrian totally tried octopus. You could see the tentacles...yuck!

Radio City Rockettes

Rockefeller Center

Getting cupcakes at Magnolia Bakery

Monday we didn't waste any time and quickly got up, checked out of our hotel, and headed back out! We did a little Times Square shopping at the M&M store, Disney store, Toys R Us, and The Loft. Please remember that Adrian and I both have small children :). It is so much fun going to those stores now that I have a kid.

Wall of M&M's

Lunch at The Boathouse

One last stroll through Central Park and then we headed to the airport. Thanks ladies for such a fun trip! Let's do it again next year :).

Tyler's 1st ER Visit

We started off the weekend on a high…camping with Mimi, Pops, and the cousins. Tyler had so much fun picking up sticks, playing in the tent, and getting in and out of the motor home. We ended up staying at the camp site over night (Friday night) which we have never done before. Tyler was in a pack-n-play on top of the bed in the room with Mimi and Brian and I were crammed on a very small couch in the front of the motor home. Tyler coughed a lot that night and neither of us got much sleep. Here are some pics from our time camping.

Sunday morning he was still coughing and we started to hear him wheezing. Since Brian has a history of really bad asthma I decided to call my dad. He told me to time his breathing and that it should be between 20-30 breaths per minute….it was around 50. After that I kind of was freaking out so we called the on call nurse at our pediatricians office. She told us that the only option on the weekend was to take him to the ER. We got to the ER around 11am and by that time he had a fever around 101 and was so tired. After a chest X Ray, a negative flu test, a negative RSV test, they diagnosed him with bronchiolitis. They gave him a breathing treatment and a prescription and we went home. We were happy to know what was wrong but that night I slept on the floor next to his crib so I could hear every.single.breath my baby took. I was a nervous wreck that night! Thankfully he is so much better but watching your child have breathing issues is just awful!

He got to watch LOTS of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on my phone :). We are so happy our little man is better but now we have to detox him from all that time with his paci and video watching :).
