Tyler's 9 Month Birthday

I can't believe that I am writing about my baby turning 9 months old. I still think of him as a little newborn but he is quickly turning into a little boy.

He has really taken off and is crawling all over the place. He loves to pull on power cords so we have had to put the plug covers in all the outlets around the house. Why are kids so drawn to those things?! He would have pulled the lamp across the room by the power cord if I would let him. His favorite place to be is under his exersaucer.

He is also working really hard to pull up all by himself. He isnt quite there but he is really close. He does love standing up and looking out the window. If he has something to hold on to he is usually good...a little wobbly...but good. I keep waiting for his first big fall and it is making me very anxious! I know its going to happen but I will try to prevent it as long as possible!

We were in Temple this past weekend and my mom has this porcelain doll in the guest bedroom (my grandmother used to make dolls...she(the doll not my grandmother) is creepy, I know!) and Tyler was obsessed with her. However, he didnt understand why she wouldn't talk or play with him.

Yes, he still is a fan of doing this all.the.time! I have no idea why he does this. He has even started doing it with no hands. Strange...

We have had so much fun this month with our cousins! Tanner has been asking (pretty much every time we see him) "Is Tyler big enough to play?" and the answer is finally "Yes". Well, if you consider him knocking things down and taking your toys "play" then the answer is "yes".

Mimi and Pops have 3 boys that love to make a huge mess when they get together!

They have so much fun "playing" together.

Here are some other fun pics from this month!

He has 5 teeth now. (2 on top and 3 on the bottom) However, it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a pic of his teeth.

Weight: 17lb 6 oz (5th %)
Height: 29 1/4 in (80th%)
Food: His first feeding is right when he wakes up and then again every 3-4 hours until bedtime. He is eating yogurt for breakfast and baby food for lunch and dinner. This kid loves to eat!
Sleep: Bedtime is 7:30 and he usually wakes up around 7. He takes 2-3 naps that range from 1-2 hours each. However, I am transitioning him to just 2 naps (one in the morning and one in the afternoon.)
Clothes: 6-9 months, 9 months

Likes: knocking things over, books with puppets, his paci and lovey, laughing, crawling, exploring (finding power cords), drinking water from a straw, being outside, CHEERIOS!!!

Dislikes: One thing that makes him mad is when he finishes a pouch of baby food and I have to take it away. He is a lover of food!!!
Favorite Mommy Moment: This has been a fabulous month and I just am overflowing with love for this little guy. He is so much fun to be around and he is just so darn cute! Tyler has learned to wave and now has a total of 5 teeth (3 on the bottom and 2 on top).

It is VERY hard to take pictures of kid on the move. I could not get him to stay in the chair!
What is up with his leg?!

Crazy eyes!

Yes, I know the onesie is too small. He only wears them once a month!

This one is kind of a prom pose..haha!

Tyler's "Little Kiss" Photo Shoot

I mentioned in Tyler's 8 month post that we had the opportunity to get some professional pictures taken of Tyler. Julie Syvrud (Photo Jewels Photography) is a photographer based in Rockwall and was wanting to showcase her new "Little Kiss" photo session that she is offering for babies 5-12 months. Thankfully, we got to be her guinea pig. :) She did an amazing job and got us in and out very quickly! Here is a little more information about the session from her website:

"The Photo Jewels Little Kiss session is our most affordable studio session.  They are 30 minutes long and are for one baby only.  We have a simple and traditional set up that keeps the focus on capturing your baby’s personality and expressions.  These sessions are all about your baby… their pure, little, simple, sweet selves.  This means minimal distractions and just a few props.  It’s mostly about them in their own skin – literally!  Think soft, sweet colors and textures.
These minis are the perfect time for capturing a baby milestone like sitting up or standing!  It’s also perfect for a younger sibling, since they may not have many photos of them without an older brother or sister in the picture.  We will spend time getting creative, capturing all the little faces you love, and playing some dress up!
The Little Kiss sessions will be offered on two dates per month, always on Mondays or Saturdays, beginning in February.  Dates will be announced via the blog & facebook."
