Tyler's 1st ER Visit

We started off the weekend on a high…camping with Mimi, Pops, and the cousins. Tyler had so much fun picking up sticks, playing in the tent, and getting in and out of the motor home. We ended up staying at the camp site over night (Friday night) which we have never done before. Tyler was in a pack-n-play on top of the bed in the room with Mimi and Brian and I were crammed on a very small couch in the front of the motor home. Tyler coughed a lot that night and neither of us got much sleep. Here are some pics from our time camping.

Sunday morning he was still coughing and we started to hear him wheezing. Since Brian has a history of really bad asthma I decided to call my dad. He told me to time his breathing and that it should be between 20-30 breaths per minute….it was around 50. After that I kind of was freaking out so we called the on call nurse at our pediatricians office. She told us that the only option on the weekend was to take him to the ER. We got to the ER around 11am and by that time he had a fever around 101 and was so tired. After a chest X Ray, a negative flu test, a negative RSV test, they diagnosed him with bronchiolitis. They gave him a breathing treatment and a prescription and we went home. We were happy to know what was wrong but that night I slept on the floor next to his crib so I could hear every.single.breath my baby took. I was a nervous wreck that night! Thankfully he is so much better but watching your child have breathing issues is just awful!

He got to watch LOTS of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on my phone :). We are so happy our little man is better but now we have to detox him from all that time with his paci and video watching :).

Hadley Ann was born on Monday, Oct. 28th. We are all so happy to have a girl in the family…Tyler has yet to meet his cousin yet because of a nasty cold but we can't wait to introduce them!

Trick or Treat

I was so excited about Halloween this year because Tyler is at such a fun age! He loves knocking on people's door and doing things all by himself so this was perfect for him. We started out early going to a few of our neighbors houses before Brian got home and we headed over to Mimi and Pops to trick or treat with the cousins. Here are some pictures from the evening.

Visiting his first house! Thanks Brenda and Kerry…he LOVED the kit-kat!

About to head out with our cousins!

He would not let anyone hold his hand or his bucket of candy. He was such a big boy!

Knock knock!

The coloring on the one on the right is weird but you can see our little entourage. We had 3 littles, 2 sets of parents, an uncle, a great aunt, and Pops.

Proud of his candy!

Eating some of his candy…the rest is for mommy! :)
