Thanksgiving & Other Holiday Fun!

We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving this year at Brian's parents house. We had a full table of family and it was so fun to go around and hear all of the things everyone is thankful for this year!

Crazy "turkey" cousins! After dressing up for Halloween, Tyler now thinks you are supposed to dress up for every holiday. This was the best I could do for Thanksgiving. :)

I am so thankful for this little dude and the little lady on the way!

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a little football after the meal.

We also headed up to Bass Pro Shop earlier in the week to get our annual Santa pic. Call me crazy but I didn't want to wait until December when the lines were long and crazy! Tyler was so excited to see Santa plus I bribed him with a candy cane!

We also did 2 movies that week...Big Hero 6 and Madagascar Penguins. Tyler did great...as long as he had a handful of popcorn and a lemonade.

We also decorated for Christmas and Tyler got to put he star on our tree and Mimi and Pop's tree!

There are a lot of people who are doing a different activity for every day leading up to Christmas....ya not going to happen here. I want to create memories and traditions for Tyler so instead I made a list of about 10 things that I wanted us to do over the month of December. One of those was to eat dinner and look at lights in downtown Frisco.

We also decorated a gingerbread house.

We also headed up to Presonwood's north campus for their annual Christmas event. Tyler LOVED ice skating! I think I will have to add that to our list of things to do every year. He talks about it all the time now.

"Wwweeeeeee!!!!"

Home Group Christmas party with the "awkward" family photo booth!

This has been such a fun holiday season with Tyler and I look forward to Christmas this year with him! It is hard to believe that we will be a family of 4 in less than 2 months now!

Halloween 2014

This Halloween has to be one of my favorite memories as a parent which makes me super excited about doing Christmas with Tyler this year! He is at such a fun age where everything is new and so exciting. Another plus this Halloween is being pregnant...no shame eating lots of candy! :) I "helped" him pick out a costume and thankfully he loved being "Jake" from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We got our moneys worth out of that costume by wearing it over and over and over!

First stop was the Dallas Zoo for their "Boo at the Zoo" event. Tyler was so excited to wear his costume, get candy, and see all the animals. Brian and I both agree that this will hopefully be a new family tradition!

We went to the Parkway Hills Trunk or Treat and then to Northwest Bible's Fall Festival.
This picture cracks me up...Tyler's face! Priceless!

The petting zoo at the Northwest Fall Festival was a huge hit...
...as well as all the bounce houses! I think Tyler jumped on 8 different bounce houses.
So fun!

On Halloween we went to story time at the library with some MOPS friends. Tyler and Audrey had fun eating their 50cent corn dogs at Sonic afterwards!

These two are pretty cute! Oh and I'm saving all of these pictures for the slideshow at their rehearsal dinner ;).

Later that evening we hit up our favorite neighbors before heading over to trick-or-treat with Jackson and Will.

Tyler would run up to the house, hit the door with his sword, and scream with excitement when they opened the door. It was so fun going from house to house watching these boys and their excitement!

Happy Halloween from Jake, Mario, Luigi, and Toad!

October Family Fun

It is hard to believe that it is already the end of October and we are quickly approaching Thanksgiving and Christmas! Because we have had record breaking temperatures this October, Tyler and I have taken full advantage by doing as much outside as possible. It has been such a fun month and I wanted to remember it! He is at such a cute age and I am soaking in every moment before his baby sister comes in February. Here are some pictures documenting our adventures this month.
What is cuter than 2 year olds wearing superhero underwear while throwing water balloons....in October?!

We also transitioned Tyler into his big boy bed (only for naps) this month. My favorite part is when he wakes up I get to crawl in and have a little bit of cuddle time.

Such a big boy at Top Golf with daddy and "the boys" (aka Brian's team from work).

Lots of trips to the park and picnics in the backyard.

He calls this the "superman"!

He is very into taking selfies or as he says "more Tyler pictures".

Fun family outing to The Heard Museum.

Tyler loved watching the animals but felt much safer hiding behind Brian's head. It is so strange how something can be so "scary" to him but he doesn't want to leave.

Digging for dinosaur bones.

We hit up 2 pumpkin patches in one week. First was the one in Flower Mound and then to the one in Celina.

More selfies...

Paw Patrol...Tyler is obsessed with this tv show!

Carving his jack-o-lantern. He wanted NOTHING to do with the "guts" but was very interested in stabbing the pumpkin with our carving tools.

Painting our little pumpkins.

Baby bump 24 weeks. So far everything has been going great! Eisley is moving around like crazy and I have started feeling the dreaded heartburn already. We cannot wait to meet our baby girl! :)
