We had such a fun LONG weekend celebrating the 4th this year. Friday morning we headed to Plano's 4th of July parade with some friends. It was basically local firemen, churches, and politicians but it only lasted 30 minutes and that was about all Tyler was interested in.
We headed to some friends for dinner and then over to Castle Hills where they had bounce houses, food trucks, and other fun stuff. Tyler LOVED the bounce house! We played for a while, had a sno cone, and then headed home. Tyler hadn't fallen asleep by the time the fireworks started so we got him out of bed and we watched them from the window in our guest bedroom. Maybe next year I will be brave enough to keep him out that late.
Saturday morning we headed to Temple to spend the weekend with my parents. Basically Tyler swam the entire time we were there. He loved the new crocodile raft we bought but hated the floaty we bought for him to wear. :( Next year we will do swim lessons but until then I just walk behind him like a crazy mom scared he is going to go under.
