Tyler is 3

I can not believe that my baby boy is 3 years old! This past year has been full of so many amazing memories and I absolutely love this age. We have had to learn how to handle discipline but overall Tyler has the most magnetic personality. He has such a love for life, going on adventures, making new friends, and telling us how much he love us :). We love you so much!

Stats:
Height: 38 1/2 inches (75th %)
Weight: 33.2 lbs (75th %)

We woke Tyler up with streamers and a special breakfast!
Busting through!

When he blew out his candles he wished for cake! He is so excited about getting to eat cake at his birthday party. Sidenote: Tyler has asked for a spiderman balloon, cake, and plates for his birthday. No idea why because he really isn't even into Spiderman but we are going with it. :)

He got to watch a movie in the morning and then off to the walking path and playground over by our house we went. It has been raining literally every day since April so the fact that we had some sun was a big plus! We went on a walk to feed the fish and turtles with Audrey and then played at the playground. Eisley decided to roll over from her back to her tummy today too...however, she waited until I was turned around strapping Tyler into the stroller to do it.

We picked Brian up from work and headed to The Rainforest Cafe for dinner. This was Tyler's request but when we got there he was TERRIFIED! We have been to this restaurant many times so we were so confused as to why he was so scared. Thankfully he quickly warmed up.

Happy Birthday Tyler!

Mimi and Pops got Tyler his first bike and sent him on a scavenger hunt to find it. Tyler was so excited!

We originally had planned a big birthday party with our new water bounce house but since it has literally rained the entire month of April and May we decided to cancel. Thankfully we did because the day of his party it was really stormy and rainy all morning. We had family over and made the best of it. Tyler had a blast so that is all that matters.

David's Wedding

Brian's youngest brother, David, got married over Memorial Day weekend. Friday morning we woke up early to catch our 10:30 flight. Tyler was so excited to fly on the airplane and bring his new monkey suitcase.

Both kids did amazing on the flight! Tyler loved using his new headphones to watch movies and play games on the iPad. At one point he said "Mommy my ears feel funny." :) Eisley did great and even took a little nap.

We landed in Chicago and headed to load up in our rental car to make the 2 hour drive to South Bend, IN where Notre Dame is located. After about 45 minutes of Tyler literally acting like he was on speed, he crashed! He and Eisley were worn out from a long day of traveling and slept the rest of the car ride there.

The next morning all Tyler could talk about was the hotel pool. Thankfully he has an awesome daddy who (at 7:30am) agreed to take him swimming.
Eisley enjoyed her morning nap while the boys swam. She did amazing sleeping on the go over the weekend. Each day we were able to squeeze in her morning nap at the hotel but every other nap was done in her carseat.

Hotel Selfies!

Saturday morning we all headed to the Notre Dame campus for a tour. Tyler was obsessed with David all weekend which made it a little difficult for him to be our tour guide.

The campus was beautiful!

I guess baby girl got bored...

Saturday night was the rehearsal dinner at the Studebaker Museum. They had a really cool kids area where you could work on a pretend car. The boys loved it!

Eisley didn't get any attention all weekend ;).

Sunday was the big day! That morning Tyler and Brian headed to the groomsmen brunch while Eisley and I drove around for her morning nap. Then it was back to the hotel to put on our fancy clothes. Tyler was absolutely precious in his suspenders and bowtie.
When he saw me in my skirt he said "Mommy you look like a princess. Can I be your prince?" Goodness....precious boy knows how to melt his momma's heart! He kept asking me to spin around.

Hooray for a good family picture!

Since Brian was a groomsmen I was on kid duty during the ceremony. Thankfully the church had an area right outside the sanctuary where we could still watch but didn't have to be really quiet.

These boys...doesn't get much cuter than this!

We made it through the wedding without our husbands!!! The kids were troopers all weekend being off their normal schedules.

Eisley in the dress Mimi made for her. It was a huge hit!

By the time we got to the reception Tyler was out! Once he woke up he partied hard until 10pm when David and Rebecca headed out.

It was HOT at the reception so by the end Eisley was down to just a diaper. :)
Congrats David and Rebecca. We had a blast!

The next morning we packed up our hotel room and loaded up the car to head back to Chicago. About an hour into the drive we realized we forgot about the time difference between South Bend and Chicago so we had some extra time to kill. Both kids were asleep in the back so we decided to head into downtown Chicago for a quick site seeing tour.
Once they woke up we grabbed a quick lunch at Giordano's and ran over to take a few pictures with The Bean. Such a fun way to kill a little extra time.

Headed home!
