This past weekend we had the opportunity to take the kids and travel to Atlanta for Brian's cousins wedding. Let's just say that things went way better than I had imagined them going! We flew out of DFW on Saturday morning and the kids rocked the flight. Tyler enjoyed a movie on the iPad and Eisley ate lots of snacks, we read books, and she played with some Halloween window stickers (those things are worth every cent for my kids on a flight!). Probably the most stressful part of the entire weekend was waiting for and installing the car seats in our rental car. Eisley got lucky and got to ride forward facing for the first time because Brian and I both thought agreed the car seat looked much more secure facing forward than backwards. Can I just say it is so much easier to get a kid in a forward facing carseat!!! Only a few more months and then we are turning her around.
Thank you DFW for your amazing kids area! Oh, and of course Tyler had to bring his "poop pillow" that he got at the State Fair. (Its the poop emoji and he thinks its hilarious!)
All dressed up and ready for the rehearsal dinner!
The kids and I stayed for the dinner and then left once the toasts started. Tyler's favorite part of the weekend was his "transforming bed" aka foldout couch. He was obsessed! Easley was a trooper and even got her breathing treatments in.
Lots of wrestling happens around these two.
Sunday morning (the day of the wedding) we woke up and killed some time at a nearby Toys R Us. Brian headed to the guys brunch while the kids and I explored the local Target and Dollar Tree :). Then it was back to the hotel so both kids could nap because we had a late night ahead of us!
Brian and Tyler sat through the ceremony and I got to chase this little cutie around.
(Her Mimi made her dress.)
Eisley and Hannah (only a couple weeks apart in age)
The rest of the night we spent on the dance floor. Tyler quickly found some friends (the flower girls) and they were so sweet to dance with him. I just stare at this picture because it is the sweetest thing ever! He also followed Bailey (the bride) around because he thought she was so beautiful and she was!!! Tyler wanted to be in the middle of the dance floor the entire time. He was in awe!
I was so proud of the kids because they lasted until almost 10pm.
The next morning we packed up and headed to The Varsity before heading to the airport.
The flight home was probably the second most stressful part of the trip just because it was during Eisley's nap and of course she didn't fall asleep until we were driving home. Thankfully we had some help on the flight home.
All in all it was a great weekend and we can't wait to go back and visit again. Tyler was almost in tears when we got back to Dallas and kept saying he wanted to go back to Atlanta to the "fun wedding".
