Texas State Fair

This past weekend was so much fun! Friday night we watched a movie on the back porch while we ate dinner. Brian brought out the inflatable mattress and Tyler thought it was awesome!
Saturday morning we went to a birthday party and then watched the Aggie game with some friends. Tyler and Audrey had a great time playing with each other. It is hilarious listening to a couple 2 year olds talking to each other :).
Shooting hoops and discussing which basketball was smaller and which was bigger (even though they are the same size).
That evening we had a dinner celebrating our 1 year anniversary of our Home Group being together.

Sunday morning we headed to church early, put Tyler down for an early nap, and then headed to the Texas State Fair! Growing up I never even knew there was such a thing as the Texas State Fair so now that I live here I love going...especially with Tyler!
Going during the week isn't really an option for us since Brian works till around 6pm. Last year we went on a Saturday night and it was pretty crowded so this year we chose Sunday night. Best choice ever....it was not crowded at all!

First stop...petting zoo!

Last year he wanted nothing to do with the animals and this year he loved feeding them.

Next we headed over to see the pig races. I have always heard they were fun but had never seen them. It was so much fun! Tyler thought it was hilarious.

Fried oreos and some fresh lemonade!

Car show

Last up was Big Tex and the game area. Tyler loved watching Big Tex say "Howdy Folks!"

I would say this year's trip was a big success! We stayed a little over 2 hours and obviously there was a lot more we could have seen and done but we did just enough to leave with a happy 2 year old who wasn't overly tired! See you next year Big Tex!
