Christmas 2014

This year we had a wonderful Christmas! I kind of feel like we are trying to do as many fun things over the month of December and January as possible before baby girl gets here. We really are wanting to treasure the time we have with Tyler before we are a family of 4!

We started off this Christmas season by going through an Advent guide from The Village Church with a couple friends. After the first week we quickly realized that our group (mostly the boys) needed something short and sweet instead of a drawn out story! After that we decided to have the kids eating a snack/doing a craft while Brian read part of the Christmas story our of the Jesus Storybook Bible...things went MUCH better that way :). I look forward to this tradition as our kids get older and families get bigger!

Christmas Round 1
The weekend before Christmas we headed to Temple to celebrate Christmas with my family. Santa even came to deliver their stockings and a few gifts from Grammy. Tanner screamed "Best Christmas EVER!!!" while Tyler and Hadley cried.

When Santa busted out the presents, Tyler's tears dried up real quick...

Christmas Round 2
The week of Christmas we stayed in Dallas. Brian was off work so we had lots of fun having daddy home all day! Scott and Adrian were in Tyler and David was in Buffallo with Rebecca so it was just us, Mimi and Pops, and Jeff on Christmas Eve/morning.

Here is Santa's set up for Tyler. Most of those toys we already had but Santa helped us finish out the set by bringing Tyler the Paw Patrol Lookout, Skye and her helicopter, and action pup Chase!

Of course, Santa knows Tyler's FAVORITE thing in the entire world is applesauce!

Daddy got him the "big Baymax" from the movie Big Hero 6 and mommy got him the Gup X and Octo-compass from Octonauts.

We had a great Christmas day just staying in our pi's and playing with Tyler's new toys. Thanks to daddy, Pops, and Jeff for hours and hours of fun!

Christmas Round 3
We finished up our celebrations when Scott and Adrian got back in town and had our 3rd round of Christmas on New Years Eve/Day. We started out with a horse drawn wagon ride through Highland Park looking at Christmas lights. I think the temperature was somewhere in the 20's that night so we were all bundled up and covered with blankets. Tyler LOVED it and I thought seeing him all bundled up was just about the cutest thing EVER!.

These 3 are crazy but they sure love each other! We let them all sleep in the same room on NYE and Tyler stayed up "talking" to himself till 11pm. :( Then he was up bright and early at 6am....we snuck him into our room for a little movie time so the rest of the house could sleep.
The next morning we opened presents!

Great Wolf Lodge
Since Charles, Jordie, and Samson were in town we decided to head to Great Wolf Lodge! The boys had a blast! Jordie and I are both super pregnant so we were more than happy to let Brian and Charles do all the work.

Tyler was so brave riding the kid slides all by himself!

Tyler and Samson...they could be brothers!
They are going to be the best big brothers soon :).
