Banff Directors Trip

Brian and I spent the past 4 days in Banff, Canada with the leadership of Brian's company. It was absolutely amazing! We seriously kept looking at the mountains and saying they were so beautiful that they looked fake.

Canada...here we come!

(Yes there were about 20 other people on this trip even though it might seem like we took another trip with Micah and Julia. Pretty sweet when one of your best friends works with your husband.)

After we landed in Calgary there was a shuttle waiting to drive us to Banff. After about 2 hours we arrived at the Fairmont Banff Springs and it was stunning! The Canadian Rockies are no joke! The first night we had dinner at Park Distillery.

Friday morning we woke up early to catch the shuttle to go white water rafting. I was seriously so nervous about the freezing cold water and flipping our raft. It was so much fun and not nearly as crazy as I thought it would be.

Who knew wet suits were so sexy?! (Excuse the random "M"...somehow I added that on SnapChat and couldn't get it off.)

I took this picture right after we changed into our wet suits. I love how the mountains reflect in the water.

(I am back right and Brian is right in front of me.)

We all survived!

The second evening we all had dinner at The Maple Leaf but we did have to return to Park Distillery for a few pre dinner cocktails.

Saturday morning I headed to the spa and Brian headed to the golf course.

That evening we had dinner the hotel but not before a few more pictures.

So proud of my husband and all of his hard work that got him to this level. It was an amazing trip and I look forward to many trips in the future.

Breckenridge

This was the flight we were super nervous about because it was 4 hrs 15 min and by far the longest flight we have ever taken with kids. However, the kids rocked this flight too! I was shocked! We picked up our rental car and headed to the mountains. The drive was a little under 2 hours and the kids slept almost the entire way. Again, shocked!

Sleeping kids makes for a much more peaceful drive.

Making some homemake ice cream with Pops.

Hanging out with Rebecca.

Thursday morning we decided to go on a hike. The scenery was beautiful and our backpacks loaded with water and snacks. We were excited! Well about 2 minutes into the hike Tyler is too tired to walk and almost in tears. Brian, Tyler, and I headed back to the house with him while the others continued on. I'm thinking the elevation was just too much on him because it was just so unlike him to quit so quickly and be in tears asking for a nap.

Tyler spent about 1/2 of our time in Colorado in this hot tub. Its the first thing he wanted to do when he woke up and the last thing he wanted to do before bed. He was obsessed! Thankfully he could touch the bottom so it was basically like a big bath tub.

The town of Breckenridge is so cute with beauty surrounding it. We enjoyed walking around, hanging by the creek, and visiting a local candy store!

Friday we spent most of the day at the top of the mountain doing all kinds of fun things with Tyler. Beth watched Eisley so Brian and I could maximize our time with Tyler. He had a blast! He rode the alpine slide with me and then went to the kid area and did the obstacle course, zip line, tube slide, and trampoline all by himself. Thankfully we bought the pass that allowed him to have unlimited rides because he did each activity at least 2 times. I am so proud of how brave he was doing all of these new things all on his own.

Saturday we decided to try a more kid friendly hike in town along a creek. It went MUCH better!

Jumping over the creek

Eisley's favorite part of Breckenridge was the gondola ride up the mountain. She cried every time we had to get off.

Saturday night Brian and I snuck away for a quick dinner at Modi's. It was delicious!

Sunday we hung around the house until it was time to check out and then headed back into Denver. I would like to forget the rest of the day because it was just that bad. We killed a few hours in Denver at the mall and then headed to the airport. Our flight was already supposed to leave late (5:30) but got delayed an hour and lets just say Sunday was not Eisley's best day so far. Once we finally got on board Eisley refused to sleep or even play and threw every toy we tried to give her. She had only slept for maybe 20 minutes on the drive into Denver so she was just super tired.

Oh and did I mention that the entire 8 days we were gone she only wanted me to hold her and no one else! Then the second we land at Love Field she does this...ugh!

So many amazing memories from the past 8 days but gosh I am SO thankful to have woken up in my bed and at my house this morning. Now back to "normal"!
