We just returned home from our first trip to Seaside and had a blast! Here is the recap...
Wednesday
Once we got to Florida we jumped in our rental car and headed straight to Seaside. We got to town with a few hours to spare so we grabbed lunch at Pickles and walked around some of the local shops.
Its crazy that the sun sets around 4:30 so we had just enough time to walk the beach before the sun went down. Tyler loved it and left with his pants soaking wet! Eisley was a little unsure about the sand under her feet but quickly warmed up to it.
This is the view looking of the side of our patio.
Thursday
Sweet thing walking to breakfast with her "baby" and "purse".
We were literally the only people on the beach for as far as we could see. Tyler and Brian dug a big hole and the kids loved taking turns getting inside.
The weather was pretty chilly so when the sun came out we made sure to head to the beach.
Tyler is obsessed with hot tubs and spent most of his time right here! That afternoon we thought we would head to one of the "heated pools" for a swim. That did not go as expected because the pool was still pretty chilly so after a quick 5 minute "dip" we headed to get some ice cream and then back to the hot tub it was!
Then one last trip down to the beach because it was just so beautiful.
(Thank goodness I brought our embarrassing selfie stick. Otherwise we would have gotten ZERO family pictures because again there was not a single person walking down the beach to ask to take a picture for us.)
Friday
We headed 15 minutes down the road to Aly's Beach to have breakfast at a cute coffee shop. They had a special mailbox so Tyler wrote a letter to Santa!
Hanging out in the "yard" behind the coffee shop.
After lunch we headed to the theater to see Moana.
We walked down the beach to the main area of Seaside to grab some dinner. This is the perfect picture of what it looks like to eat with 2 kids. Cheers babe! :)
Saturday
Since our kids were waking up around 5:30am we were able to nap Eisley early so we could take a quick trip to the Pier in Fort Walton Beach before our dolphin cruise!
We boarded the boat and headed out to look for dolphins. The kids had a blast and were able to basically run around the boat because there were only about 30 people total it with us. They even had an area down below where you could see under the boat.
Feeding the seagulls was crazy! Tyler and I were too scared to feed them out of our hands but Eisley was fearless! She just held up the chip and the birds took it straight from her hand. Crazy!
Tyler was so excited to drive the boat. This was such a fun thing we did. We saw tons of dolphins and many were swimming right on the edge of the boat. So fun!
Sunday
Today our kids woke up super early...like 4:30 early! Tyler wanted to squeeze in as much time as he could before we headed to the airport.
We love the beach!
See you next time, Seaside!
Don't be ashamed of the selfie stick! I am adding one to my wishlist right now 😉
