This past week we spent 5 days with my family in Ruidoso, New Mexico. I still remember doing this trip with my family when I was around 8 years old so it was fun taking Tyler back this time. We ended up deciding to rent a minivan and do the 9 hour drive instead of flying. Tyler did great in the car and as long as the dvd player was on he was basically silent. However, we did learn a lesson the hard way. Tyler WILL NOT fall asleep in the car if the dvd player is on so he was awake from 5am-7:30pm the day we drove to Ruidoso. This is the longest he has ever been awake! Well...he woke up at 11:45pm thinking he had taken his nap and was ready to go play with Grammy, iPop, and Tanner. I pulled him into our bed thinking he would fall back asleep...wrong. He was awake until around 4am when he finally fell asleep from 4-6am.
A couple hours after we arrived we all headed out to catch our dinner. Tyler wasn't a big fan of fishing but loved running around the pond.

The next morning we woke up to find some new friends. My parents bought some corn feed so every morning and evening these guys would come up to our house and let the boys feed and pet them. They loved it!

That evening we headed to the Flying J Ranch. Tyler loved pretending to be a cowboy until we tried to put him on a horse! Haha..not a fan!
What would vacation be with out a little race car driving and bumper boats?!
