Happy 4th of July

When thinking of my favorite holidays, the 4th was never on the list. I always think of Christmas and Thanksgiving but after this year I may have to reconsider. Don get me wrong...Christmas will stay my #1 but the 4th is going to be a close 2nd. Once we moved into our house 3 years ago we have realized just how much we love hosting and having people over. So combine good food, friends, no work on Friday, back patio weather, and fireworks and you have a pretty awesome weekend!

Friday we started off the weekend by having some friends over for burgers, water balloons, popsicles, and bounce house fun! We had a blast!

We just added on to our patio by adding a fire pit and even though we haven't actually made a fire I think the kids are ok with that!

We had a slow start to the morning on Saturday and then headed to the Trinity Groves area for lunch.

I love all of the festive outfits :)

We headed home to give Tyler a good long nap before heading back out. We met up with Chip and Elaine, put the babies to bed at Mimi and Pops house, and then headed to dinner! It was so fun having dinner with Chip and Elaine and the "big kids". Tyler and Audrey had a great time playing together and we counted it as their first chaperoned date :). After dinner we headed over to watch the Carrollton fireworks.
Tyler loved chanting "USA USA!"

I mean....its totally love!

After church on Sunday we took Tyler to see Inside Out. Brian and I are always optimistic when it comes to taking our babies to movies and it hasn't worked out either time we have tried. Eisley lasted about 10 minutes before I took her out. I think she would have been ok but I was too self conscious to annoy the other movie goers. We hung out in the lobby and I treated myself to some Twizzlers!
